Open Call for Young Curators

Willing to encourage and promote new curatorial ideas, Mur Nomade launched an open call inviting emerging independent curators living in Hong Kong to submit exhibition proposals involving artistic exchanges. The program aims at mentoring and accompanying the selected curator in the preparation of the proposed exhibition, and ultimately presenting it at Mur Nomade’s space in Summer 2015.

The winner was selected by a judging panel of art professionals including Caroline Ha Thuc, art writer and curator; Nuria Krämer, Head of Connecting Space Hong Kong; and Kingsley Ng, interdisciplinary artist and lecturer at the Hong Kong Baptist University Academy of Visual Arts.

Mur Nomade is pleased to announce Yip Kai Chun as the winner of the inaugural edition of its Open Call for Young Curators.

Yip's exhibition titled away will open on 11th July 2015.

  • Announcement of selected curator and project: early June 2015
  • Exhibition: Summer 2015



  • Open to curators currently living in Hong Kong
  • Limit of age is 35
  • Applicants should be available for interviews in May 2015
