Claire Lee

represented

Born in 1976 in Hong Kong, Claire Lee lives and works in London. She is a poet, curator and visual artist working across the media of painting, drawing, mixed media objects and photography. A graphic designer by training, Claire Lee also studied curatorship at the Hong Kong Art School. She has presented her artworks in galleries, independent art spaces and museums in Hong Kong, Taipei, Japan and the U.S.A.

Claire Lee is concerned about the artwork itself as much as its presentation and its relationship with the space and the audience. The entire viewing experience is her creation. Even the titles of her works are extensions from her poetry. With a sensitive mind, Claire Lee is drawn to subjects dealing with psychological struggles and personal strength, and she offers in her poems and artworks a vision of the world full of contrasts.

Claire Lee has been publishing poetry and giving readings at forums and at collaborative performances since 2008.
